Trinity Electrical Contractors (PTY) LTD - Terms & Conditions
At Trinity Electrical Contractors (PTY) LTD, we are committed to delivering high-quality electrical services in compliance with South African National Standards (SANS) and industry best pracuces. By accepting our quotaton or engaging our services, the client agrees to the following terms:
1. Scope of Work and Additional Costs
The scope includes all labour, materials, and equioment required to como ete the work specified in the quotation. Any additional work or unforeseen conditions will require prior written approval and will be quoted separately.
2. Validity of Quotation
Quotations are valid tor / days wrom te date or issue uniess oterwise stated. we reserve the right to adjust pricing after this period.
3. Payment Terms
All work is strictly C.O.D. (Cash on Delivery) unless an account or alternative terms have been arranged in writing.
A non-refundable deposit of up to 50% may be required to secure materials and scheduling.
Final payment is due before delivery or commissioning.
For larger projects or specialised equipment, a higher deposit may be required to facilitate procurement. This will be clearly stated in the quotation
Late payments may attract interest at 2% per month (compounded) or the maximum allowable rate under South African law, whichever is lower.
4. Compliance with SANS Regulations
All work is carried out in accordance with SANS 10142-1 and other applicable codes. We are legally obligated to identify and report any non-compliance discovered during inspections or work. We will not energize or issue a Certificate of Compliance (CoC) for non compliant installations.
5. Safety and Site Conditions
The client must provide safe, clear,and accessible work areas. Additional charges may apply for delays or hazardous siteconditions.
6. Permits and Approvals
The client is responsible for securing all relevant permits unless otherwise agreed in writing
We are not liable for delays or penalties resulting from missing approvals.
7. Calibration Certificates
Where applicable, installations (e.g. meters, CTs) must be supported by valid calibration certificates. No energisation or sign-off will occur without verified compliance.
8. Inspection, Testing & Sign-Off
A final inspection will be conducted upon completion. The client or a representative must be present. If no defects are reported within 7 days, the work will be deemed accepted.
9. Workmanship Warranty
We offer a 6-month warranty on workmanship. This excludes:
Tampering or modification by third parties Overloading, misuse, or environmental damage (e.g. lightning, surges) Defects caused by client-supplied materials or equipment.
10. Manufacturer Warranties
Manufacturer warranties apply as per their conditions. We are not liable for delays or failures
11. Ownership of Materials
All materials and equipment remain the property of Trinity Electrical Contractors (PTY) LTD until fully paid. We reserve the right to remove unpaid materials from site without notice.
12. Storage Delays
If the site is not ready and delivery is delayed by more than 7 days, storage fees may apply at our discretion.
13. Variation Orders
All changes to the original scope must be agreed to in writing via a signed variation order.
Verbal instructions are not considered valid.
14. After-Hours Work
Work required outside normal hours (Mon-Fri 08:00-17:00), on weekends, or holidays may incur surcharges of 1.5x-2x the standard rate.
15. Retention (For Large Projects)
For contracts exceeding a negotiated threshold, a 10% retention may be held for 30 days after project completion and will be released upon final sign-off, provided no defects are raised.
16. Intellectual Property
All technical drawings, reports, and desians remain the property of Trinity Electrica Contractors (PTY) LTD and may not be used or shared without written permission
17. Site Handover and Warranty Conditions
Once the project is signed off, Trinity remains liable only for warranted workmanship Issues. Any new faults or damages caused after handover are treated as new work and
quoled seodralely.
18. Non-Compliance & Rectification
If non-compliant conditions exist, we will issue a report and quote for necessary remedial

19. Cancellation
Clients must provide at least 3 working days' written notice to cancel a project.
If materials have been procured or work has commenced, a 10% cancellation fee

A full refund may be processed (minus admin fees) if no costs have been incurred.
20. Termination
Either party may terminate the contract with 14days 'written notice . All completed work and materials to date will be billed and remain payable.
21. Insurance
We hold liability insurance for damage caused by our personnel. Clients are responsible for
insuring their progeny and intrastructure during the course or the work.
22. Tampering and Unauthorised Work
Any unauthorised modifications, repairs, or interference will immediately void all warranties
Trinity Electrical Contractors is not liable for faults caused by third parties.
23. Force Majeure
We are not liable for project delays caused by events beyond our control, such as natura disasters, strikes, supplier delays, or regulatory changes.
24. Confidentiality
All project information, designs, documentation, and pricing are confidential and may not be shared with any third party without written consent.
Acceptance
By accepting our quotation or making payment, the client acknowledges and agrees to all
the anove erms and conditions.
